Abstract

1,171,126. Clamps. BURTON DELING- POLE & CO. Ltd. 24 Aug., 1967 [11 June, 1966], No. 26109/66. Heading E2B. A scaffolding clamp comprises two pairs of pivoted jaws 10, 11 connected at an angle to each other one pair of jaws 10 having arcuate surfaces to clamp an upright tube 12 of circular section and the other pair of jaws 11 is formed with channelled recesses to clamp a tube 13 having a rectangular or square section. Each clamp securing bolt 10d, 11d has a T shaped head which pivotally engages a recessed portion 16 of the associated jaw. The extent of opening of the hinged jaw 11b is limited by a nose llh thereon abutting a face 11i of the jaw 11a. The two pairs of jaws are either integrally formed or are connected by a swivel pin to support tubes other than at right angles.
