In a waste and overflow fitting for a sink unit a vertical waste pipe 4 in the drawing is mounted coaxially below a waste opening 3 provided in the bottom of a basin of the sink unit, the waste pipe communicates with an overflow duct 7 connected to an overflow 31 provided in the wall of the basin 2, a teepiece 5 is disposed between the upper end of the waste pipe 4 and waste opening 3. The overflow pipe 7 is connected to a socket 6 which forms the central member of the teepiece. The teepiece is adapted to be pivotable during installation about its vertical axis to enable the position of its connecting socket to be aligned relative to the overflow provided in the basin wall.
