Abstract

1,169,547. Dispensing liquids under gaseous pressure. M. GOLDSHOLL. Oct.28, 1966, No.21458/69. Divided out of 1,169,546. Heading F1R. In a method of intermittently dispensing an aerosol product using a battery operated motor the motor is energized intermittently by a gravity switch so that the battery is discharged only when the aerosol is dispensed. The motor 20 rotates the gravity switch 31, 38 and also a plate 29 having a conducting ring 56 engaged by contacts 54, 55 for completing the circuit to the motor 20 from a battery 21, and diametrically opposed contact plates 58 insulated from the ring 56 and engaged by the contact 55 to de-energize the motor 20 after each 120 degrees turn of the plate 52. The plates 58 and the ring 56 are connected as shown to the contacts 38 of the gravity switch so that when the conducting plunger of the latter has fallen to inter-connect two contacts 38, the motor circuit is completed. The motor 20 drives a cam 25 Fig.4 (not shown) for intermittently opening a valve in a dispenser nozzle 18 of an aerosol container 14 for spraying moth preventative or other spray.
