1,167,127. Fungicides containing carbodiimides or urea derivatives. CHEVRON RESEARCH CO. 25 June, 1968 [26 June, 1967 (2)], No. 30326/68. Heading A5E. [Also in Division C2] Fungicidal compositions contain a solid or liquid diluent or carrier and (1) a carbodiimide of the formula R-N=C=N-S-R<SP>1</SP>, in which R denotes a carboxyacyl group of 1-20 carbon atoms and R<SP>1</SP> denotes (a) an aliphatic group of 1-8 carbon atoms substituted with 1-6 chlorine or bromine atoms and, optionally with a nitro group or (b) a monocyclic aryl group of 6-8 carbon atoms optionally substituted with 1-5 chlorine or bromine atoms, or (2) a urea derivative of the formula R-NHC(O)-NH-S-R<SP>1</SP>, R and R<SP>1</SP> being as defined above (see Division C2).
