1,165,303. Fuel, crude oil, and lubricating oil compositions. ESSO RESEARCH & ENG. CO. 11 April, 1968, No. 17424/68. Headings C5F and C5G. A fuel, crude oil, or lubricating oil comprises the product of reaction of a polyepoxide with a saturated aliphatic C 8+ monocarboxylic acid. Suitable polyepoxides are of formula Specified fuels are petroleum distillates boiling above 100‹C., diesel oils, furnace oils, and kerosene diesel fuels. Specified lubricating oils include spindle oil, castor oil, fish oils, oxidized mineral oils and bright stocks. C 16 -C 30 acids are preferred. The additive comprises 0À001-10% by weight of the composition.
