Abstract

1,164,897. Gas scrubber. S. P. KINNEY ENGS. Inc. 12 April, 1967 [1 Aug., 1966], No. 16906/67. Heading B1R. Gases are scrubbed by passage downwardly through a duct containing a venturi tube 5 secured in an inclined plate 4, the gas being sprayed with liquid from a nozzle 20 arranged in the wall of the duct. An adjustable baffle is positioned below the venturi-tube and a plate 18 shields the pivoted mounting 7 of the baffle. In a modification the liquid spray nozzle extends a short distance into the duct.
