Abstract

1,163,633. Screw conveyer. H. WHITE. 14 Aug., 1968 [18 May, 1967], No. 23105/67. Heading B8A. Screw conveyer 1 is carried by carriage 2 which slides along bar 8 carried by frame 9 which is adapted to rotate about the pivot 10. The screw is driven from motor 6, and its further end is carried by frame 13 and is provided with roller 11 which supports the screw when the screw meets the ground. Normally the screw 1 is offset from pivot 10 so that when it conveys material the reaction at the pivot causes the screw to rotate about the pivot.
