Abstract
1,162,066. Vinyl chloride polymer compositions. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 27 April, 1967 [28 April, 1966], No. 19564/67. Heading C3P. Compositions comprise (i) 60 to 95% of an after-chlorinated vinyl chloride polymer having a K value of 55 to 80 and a chlorine content of 60 to 70%, (ii) a tachivinyl chloride polymer having a K value of 50 to 80 and in which 55 to 85% of the chlorine atoms are syndiotachially arranged, and, optionally, (iii) 3 to 20% of a chlorinated or sulphochlorinated polyolefin having a chlorine content of 20 to 60%. Other conventional additives may also be present, e.g. barium-cadmium stabilizers, and the compositions may be moulded into, e.g., plates, foils, bottles, pipes, strips and profiled elements. The examples mainly relate to the use of homopolymers of vinyl chloride, but Example 2 employs a tachivinylchloride-ethylacrylate copolymer.
