Abstract
1,162,028. 1,4-Bis-(monoalkylamino)-transbutenes-(2). FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 17 Nov., 1966 [25 Nov., 1965], No. 61604/66. Heading C2C. 1,4 - Bis - (monoalkylamino) - trans - butenes of the general formula in which R is an alkyl group which may be substituted, are prepared by reacting 1,4- dichloro-trans-butene-(2) with at least six times the molar amount of a primary aliphatic amine which may be substituted. The amines used may be substituted by hydroxy, C 1 -C 5 alkoxy or aryl groups. The reaction may be carried out in an aromatic solvent. The products of the invention may then be hydrogenated to give the corresponding saturated compounds.
