Abstract
116,059. Snowdon, F. Feb. 27, 1918. Repairing-apparatus.-For building new division walls or flues in coke ovens and the like, the upper portion of the wall and the roof are adapted to be supported from rails as a, Fig. 1, which are placed upon the outer walls b of the oven, by means of hangers d, Figs. 1 and 4, which are formed with screwed ends to receive nuts h resting on plates j on the rails. Hand-holes are cut in the wall to be repaired, and the upper part of the wall is supported by inserting a bar e into a slot f in the hanger d and tightening up the bolt h. The lower part of the wall can then be rebuilt, and when this is effected, the support is removed. The bar e is fitted with plates g, which are placed under joints or cracked blocks,
