Abstract
1,158,378. Dump scraper. GUSTAV SCHADE MASCHINENFABRIK. 28 May, 1968 [12 Feb., 1968], No. 25504/68. Heading B8E. A dump 2 is discharged by endless rake conveyer 10b which is carried pivotally at 9 by frame 1 which spans the dump and runs on rails 4 positioned at either side of dump 2. The conveyer scrapes away the side of dump 2 and discharges the material through hopper 17 on to discharge conveyer 7. The conveyer is supported by cable 12 operated by winch 11 and itself passes through aperture 20 formed in frame 1 so that when the frame has run along the length of the dump 2 and conveyer 10b has taken off one layer of the dump the conveyer is dropped one step by means of the winch 1 so that when the cycle is repeated a further layer of material from the dump is discharged at 7. Thus, as the conveyer pivots downwardly it passes downwards through the aperture 20 of the frame 1 to the lower position shown, and both the aperture and the conveyer at 20 are provided with strips to assist the resultant sliding contact.
