[Also in Division D1] A composition suitable for use in the bonding of nylon and polyester cords to rubber comprises a polyamine, a phenolaldehyde resin and a rubbery polymer containing butadiene-1,3 and a vinyl pyridine. The polyamine may be diethylene triamine, triethylene tetramine, N,N- dibutyl-1,3-propane diamine, 1,2-diamino-2- methyl propane, 2,3-diamino-2-methyl butane, 2,4-diamino-2 methyl pentane, 2,6- diamino-2,6-dimethyloctane, diamino -pridine, tetraethylene pentamine, p,p<SP>1</SP>-dianilino. methane or m- or p-phenylene diamine. The butadiene-1,3-vinyl pyridine copolymer may also contain styrene.
