Abstract

1,155,688. Draining glass-metal fibres. KABEL - UND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE A.G. 25 April, 1968 [25 April, 1967], No. 19625/68. Heading C1M. [Also in Division H1] Coaxial high-frequency lines of small crosssectional dimensions are produced (see Division H1) from a metal, dielectric, metal layered structure by heating and draining out the combination. The preferred embodiment uses as the dielectric, glasses, of the following compositions: 70% SiO 2 , 30% NaCI or 91% SiO 2 , 9% NaCI. These have low dielectric constants and loss angles. The metal may be copper and the metal layer round the first layer of glass can be formed by folding metal foil around it.
