Abstract
1,154,348. Springs. PORTESCAP, LE PORTE-ECHAPPEMENT UNIVERSEL S.A. 23 Aug., 1966 [7 Oct., 1965], No. 37627/66. Heading F2S. [Also in Division G3T] A torsion vibrator for a timepiece (see Division G3) comprises at least one flat resilient blade 2 secured rigidly at its two ends 2a to a support member 1, at least one central portion 2b of the blade being twisted to lie in a plane forming an angle with the plane of the rest of the blade. In a second embodiment, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), two longitudinally offset parallel blades (12) are formed integrally with the support (11) from a single sheet of metal. The blades may be formed with the central portions (22b) aligned as illustrated in Figs. 5, 6 (not shown). Instead of the twisted portions lying in planes at 90 degrees to the plane of the rest of the blade, the central portions may be twisted through 45 degrees in opposite directions. Also, in the embodiment described with reference to Figs. 1, 2 the central portion 2b may be divided into two sections twisted in opposite directions.
