Abstract

1,152,469. Floor shuttering; hooks; stud and socket fastenings. KWIKFORM Ltd. 17 Aug., 1966 [3 Sept., 1965; 9 Feb., 1966; 15 July, 1966], Nos. 37719/65, 5572/66, and 31790/66. Headings E1S, E2A and E2B. Shuttering 10 for casting floors, mounted on a frame 20, is lifted from one storey to the next of a building being erected, by an arm 25 detachably or integrally connected at one end by a frame 46 to the shuttering, the arm 25 having a device 63 for engaging a crane hook and slidable along the arm so that the arm and shuttering can be lifted in a horizontal position, the lifting arm tilting when disconnected and lifted away from the shuttering. The connecting frame 46 is first connected by fish plates 16 to the shuttering frame and engages the frame by U-shaped thrust brackets 58. Then the arm 25 is lowered in tilted position until recesses 45 in abutment plates on the arm engage pins 59 on the frame 46. The arm is then lowered further so that it can be connected by hooks 43 on chains 42 to the frame 46. The shuttering frame 20 is mounted on adjustable legs 21. A safety hook 47, Fig. 7, for connecting the arm. 25 and frame 46 has a vertically sliding retaining pin 48.
