Abstract

1,149,372. Two-part couplings; terminals; terminal blocks. MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. 27 April, 1966 [6 May, 1965], No. 19168/65. Heading H2E. Insulating blocks 6 are slid on to a channelled base 1 to form a terminal block, and are grooved and/or slit 17 to hold contacts 7 between adjacent pairs and have interfitting projections 12 and recesses 13. Polycarbonate blocks 6 have dovetail lugs 14 to slide into a corresponding base channel and are held by metal end-blocks 8 having dovetail keys 9 clamped against the base by screws 10. The contacts 7 have soldering apertures 20 and may receive conventional springy brass socket contacts (Fig. 3, not shown). The vertical recesses 17 in the blocks 6 which accommodate the contacts 7 may extend beyond an indicatorstrip recess 15 to receive a test probe. Integral ribs 26 separate the contacts 7.
