To facilitate rolling of a cast strand, e.g. of steel, by a three-roll stand for producing wire or other small sectioned material, the uniform cross-section of the mould cavity has a periphery curved with inward convexities a and is inscribable in a triangle c so that there is a convexity corresponding to each triangle side. The two parts 1, 2 of the mould are connected by bolts 3 and there are cooling water passages 4.
