Abstract

1,149,039. Food packages; portable containers. PLASTICS Inc. 17 Aug., 1966 [18 Aug., 1965], No. 36917/66. Headings B8C and B8D. A container for fried chicken, French fries, comprises a rigid receptacle 10 around the open end of which is detachably secured the one end of a flexible sleeve 16 which may be gathered about the contents and secured. The sleeve 16 may be pushed into the receptacle to permit nesting of containers. The receptacle 10 may be of transparent plastics and the sleeve 16, of 1-4 mil. thickness, may be of a transparent water-soluble plastics such as polyvinyl alcohol, the two being secured together by heat-sealing or adhesive.
