Abstract
1,148,030. Washing machines. E. SULZMANN. 29 Dec., 1967 [27 Jan., 1967], No. 59145/67. Heading D1A. A counter current through-flow end-loaded washing machine comprises a washing drum 12 rotatably mounted on bearing rails 13 in an outer drum 10 and having internal longitudinal ribs 14 and radial seperatars 20 which with the rails form separate washing zones 16a to 16f, these separators comprising gussets extending between the ribs and the drum wall but separated from adjacent gussets, the drum being imperforate in the regions of the bearing rails. Rails 13 are of synthetic plastic material or of corrosion resistant metal. In most zones the ribs 14 taper in the direction of movement of the washing.
