Abstract
1,146,046. Endless conveyers. PNEUMATIQUES CAOUTCHOUC MANUFACTURE ET PLASTIQUES KLEBERCOLOMBES. 31 March, 1966 [31 March. 1965], No. 14398/66. Heading B8A. A conveyer belt has a reinforcement constituted by plies 15, 16 of cord fabric formed by longitudinal parallel elements, and by plies 14, 17, of fabric formed by warp and weft elements 18, 19 respectively, which are not woven, and are secured together by binding threads 20, the only transverse elements of the reinforcement being the weft elements of the unwoven fabric. In modifications, the longitudinal cord fabrics are placed on either side (Fig. 1, not shown), or the same side (Fig. 2, not shown) of a single unwoven fabric. In another modification (Fig. 3, not shown) there is only a single one each of the longitudinal cord fabric and unwoven fabric. The cords forming the elements may be formed of 840 denier nylon filaments having twists 310Z x 200S. The elongations at breaking point of the longitudinal and unwoven fabrics are nearly equal. In another example, the strands of the unwoven fabric are formed of between 475 and 315 twists Z per metre and the cords are formed of between 435 and 250 twists S per metre. The belt may have a resistance of 370-430 kg. per cm.
