Abstract

1,141,996. Spray-producers. CHIRANA, ZAVODY ZDRAVOTNICKE TECHNIKY, ABOROVY PODNIK. 11 Feb., 1966 [16 Feb., 1965], No. 6082/66. Heading B2F. An apparatus suitable for forming a spray of lubricating oil comprises a liquid reservoir 2 supported by a head 1 having a compressed air inlet duct 8, a nozzle 11 within the reservoir connected to a liquid supply, and a nozzle 10 connected to the duct 8, the nozzles 10 and 11 being located above the maximum liquid level in the reservoir and so positioned with respect to each other and the walls of the reservoir that large droplets in the discharge impinge upon the walls and are returned to the liquid in the reservoir. The liquid is fed to the nozzle 11 from the reservoir via a tube (13), fig 2 (not shown), a passage (5) controlled by a needle valve, a drip tube (6) in a cowl 7, and a further tube 12. The mist is entrained from the upper part of the reservoir by the flow of air from a nozzle 15 connected to the duct 8 by a passage 14.
