Abstract

1,141,755. Voltage-controlled oscillators. CSF-COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. 27 Jan., 1967 [1 Feb., 1966], No. 4223/67. Heading H3R. A controllable frequency crystal oscillator comprises an amplifier 7 with a feedback network connected between its input and its output, the feedback network comprising a first circuit, consisting of a crystal 1 in parallel with an inductance 4 and possibly a capacitor 5, in series with a second circuit consisting of a varactor diode 2 in series with an inductance 3. The two terminals of the diode may be connected by resistances to a bias source and one of the terminals is also connected to a control input; a blocking capacitor may be connected betwe en the diode and the crystal.
