Abstract

1,140,225. Electronic counters; selective signalling. MONSANTO CO. 23 Feb., 1966 [23 Feb., 19651, No. 8052/66. Headings G4A and G4H. When control circuit 44 removes an inhibit signal from lead 46 X, Y pulses from leads 22, 24 are applied to counters 26, 42 respectively. When the reference counter reaches a predetermined number (= 10<SP>n</SP>) it signals control circuit 44 which restores the inhibit signal. The number registered in 26 remains on display with appropriate decimal point to show the relationship X/Y until the control circuit 44 applies a reset signal. Switch 20 may be adjusted to compare either X or Y with time derived from clock pulses on lead 28, e.g. for indicating the length of yarn fed in unit time. The control circuit 44 forms the subject of divided Specification 1,140,226, and comprises a unijunction relaxation circuit (Fig. 3) which responds to a pulse on lead 48 to produce an output on line 46 for a predetermined time (Division H3) and a reset pulse on line 72.
