Abstract

1,139,330. Flash bulbs. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. May 11, 1966 [May 28, 1965], No. 20834/66. Heading G2L. Flash bulb 1 has a tubular glass envelope 2 with a reduced stem 6 filled with shredded zirionium foil 8 and combustion supporting gas, e. g. oxygen. Wires 10 and 12 sealed in the stem 6 have a connecting filament 14. The bulb is mounted on a platform 16 in the manner shown by Fig. 2 (not shown) such that the plane 6a, Fig. 1, engages the platform 16. In a modification, a ridge (7) Fig. 3 (not shown) engages a slot (e), such that two plane surfaces (6c, 6b) Fig. 4 (not shown) engage platform 20, Fig. 3 (not shown).
