Abstract

1,138,186. Feeding ammunition. BREVETS AERO-MECHANIQUES S.A. 25 Feb., 1966 [26 April, 1965], No. 6515/68. Divided out of 1,138,185. Heading F3C. An ammunition shoot 32 for guiding a linked ammunition belt 38 to an automatic gun 20 is curved substantially in the axial plane of the rounds 35 in the belt 38 and the belt 38 and rounds 35 are guided in the shoot by a plurality of sprockets 36 journalled in the shoot on axes 37 substantially radial to the curve thereof. The teeth of the sprockets fit between adjacent rounds and engage the links between the rounds on the inside of the curve. The ammunition shoot is used with a gun turret 1 as fully described in the parent Specification 1,138,185.
