[Also in Division G1] In a circuit for switching a load L, M, N to phase terminals of a supply A, B, D and neutral C in which the connections must be in the correct phase sequence, closure of switch 7 causes thyristor 1 to fire early in the positive half cycle applied to B to cause contactor 8 to close, or so late as to be ineffective. Where the neutral is not available, an artificial neutral may be supplied, In a modification, the supply and load are interchanged, switch 7 is omitted and the contactor is closed manually,re maining closed if the phase sequence is correct but releasing if incorrect, due to energization of the trip coil 8a which causes the contactor to open.
