Abstract

1,137,642. Injection moulding toy figures. WONG TAI KAM [trading as GENERAL POLYMER WORKS]. 2 Jan., 1967 [24 Jan., 1966], No. 3050/66. Heading B5A. [Also in Divisions A6 and B3] A metallic wire stiffener S, for incorporation in a toy human or animal figure (see Division A6), is held in position at the face of the first part 21 of atwo part mould by means of slotted pegs 23 and strainer means 26, 27, 28 which latter are tightened to hold the stiffener in the desired position within, and away from the inside wall of the mould. The second part of the mould (not shown) is guided into position by pegs 29 and locked to the first part. A suitable moulding material, e.g. liquid PVC is injected into the mould and allowed to set. The mould parts are then separated and the protruding wire ends cut off prior to final treatment and colouring.
