Abstract

1,137,050. Burners. ECLIPSE FUEL ENG. CO. 6 Dec., 1967 [5 Jan., 1967], No. 55562/67. Heading F4T. . A gas burner with a ' readily replaceable head comprises a hollow head 10 closed on one side by a plate 11 having transversely extending pores or passages 12 through which the gas mixture passes to burn at the outer surface thereof and a casing 23 forming a chamber 19 to which the gas mixture is supplied, the head 10 and the casing 23 being clamped together by a tube 30, having a head 33, which passes through aligned holes in the casing 23 and has a thread 32 which engages a threaded hub 17 on the head 10. Holes 36, 37 in the tube 30 provide passages for the flow of gas from the chamber 19 to the burner head 10 and a screwthreaded plunger 41 can be advanced or retracted to alter the supply of gas to the burner head.
