Abstract

1,133,993. Ventilators. J. V. EURICH. 17 Dec., 1965 [14 Jan., 1965; 25 Oct., 1965], Nos. 1594/65 and 45161/65. Heading F4V. A ventilator comprises a first member having a plurality of recesses 16 formed in one face thereof and apertures 15 each of which is in communication with one end of an associated recess 16, and a second member 11 having apertures 14 communicating with the opposite ends of said recesses. As shown, the recesses are formed by securing a member 13 having relatively large apertures therein to a member 12 having the apertures 15. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the recesses are formed integrally in the first member which is slidable relative to the second member to form a hit-and-miss ventilator. The recesses alternate with non-apertured recesses with which the apertures in the second member register when the ventilator is in the closed position. The ventilator may alternatively be formed from two identical recessed and apertured plates which are secured together so that the recesses co-operate but the apertures are out of alignment.
