Abstract

1,132,464. Clamp fastenings. G. D. PETERS & CO. (ENG) Ltd. 15 April, 1966 [21 April, 1965], No. 16859/65. Heading E2B. Means for mounting a door operating device in a solid material floor or ceiling includes a casing 1 adapted to be embedded in the material and to contain said device, the casing having a trapezoidal cross section the interior of the casing being accessible through the smaller parallel face of the casing, and clamping means adapted to engage internally the sloping side walls of the casing with a wedging action and to hold the said device in place in the casing. In the construction shown the clamping means comprises a transverse strap 16 secured by screws 4, 5 to two clamping blocks 6, 7 each having one sloping end face adapted to engage a respective sloping side wall of the casing and one end face adapted to engage a respective side of said device, the clamping means also include a bracket 15 secured by screws 2, 3 to a transverse clamping bar 8, the bar having sloping ends adapted to engage the sloping side walls of the casing, the bracket being adapted to be attached to or to engage the door operating device.
