Abstract

1,132,238. Luggage carriers. BOND CARS Ltd. 5 Aug., 1966 [14 Aug., 1965], No. 34897/65. Heading B7J. [Also in Divisions B8 and E2] A resin or plastics suitcase base portion 6 is curved to fit a car roof and is provided with a channel shaped rim 8, see also Fig. 3 (not shown), adapted to engage in a waterproof manner with a channel shaped rim on a lid 5, the channels in both parts containing resilient seals which engage with lips on the opposite channels and become operative when toggle clips 17 are fastened. The case is connected to the car drip channel by toggle operated fasteners engaging lips 32, and the undersurface of the base is provided with four buffers or rubber suckers.
