A camera lens mechanism includes a lens mount 1 for supporting a lens system 2 and located inside a lens barrel 5 which is in screw-threaded connection with focus adjustment means 11, means 9 for preventing the mount 1 from rotating relative to the barrel 5, the mount 1 and the barrel 5 having differential screw-threads 6, 7, an adjustment member 8 mounted between the mount 1 and barrel 5 to engage both screw-threads so that by rotating the member 8 the mount 1 will move axially of the barrel 5, and lock means 10 for holding the mount 1 in the selected axial position within the barrel 5. A protective ring 17 is screwed into a front extension of the barrel 5 to cover the adjustment member 8. The lock means 10 comprises a plurality of set screws. A diaphragm 3 is controlled by a crown ring 4 which is operated by suitable mechanism within the camera body when the lens assembly is screwed thereto.
