Abstract
1,129,452. Optical apparatus. J.A. KEY. Dec. 23, 1965 [Jan. 18, 1965], No. 2121/65. Heading G2J. [Also in Division G5] An apparatus for projecting images or light patterns on a screen comprises a point source of light or means for directing a parallel beam of light towards a mirror which reflects light on to a screen, the mirror being continually flexed by forces, applied either directly or indirectly via its frame, to continually move or change the shape of the image or pattern on the screen. The mirror may have a shaped reflecting surface to define an image and be mounted on springs or in a rubber diaphragm so as to be flexed by one or more reciprocating rods or pistons, by expanding or contacting the diaphragm or by electromagnets.
