Abstract

1,129,227. Transistor switching circuits. NORTHROP CORP. 22 Sept., 1967, No. 43314/67. Heading H3T. A gating circuit comprises a bi-stable circuit including two transistors 28, 29 and a Zener diode 30 connected between the base of one transistor and the collector of the other, the arrangement being such that both transistors are non-conductive in the absence of an input signal and that the input is removed from the output by a signal applied to the output. With an input signal applied at 16, transistor 29 is conductive, transistor 28 is non-conductive and the input signal passes to the output line 21. By momentarily closing switch 26 at the output, the bi-stable circuit 28, 29 is triggered to shunt the input signal to earth through transistor 28. A capacitor 35 provides a delay to prevent the triggering of circuit 28, 29 by transients. The circuit is restored by opening switch 45.
