Abstract
1,127,331. Slide projector. L. CLAUSSEN. Feb.1 1967 [Feb.1, 1966], No.4838/67. Heading G2J. A slide projector has a loading compartment for a stack of slides to be projected separated by partitioning means from a store for a stack of projected slides, and comprises a slide changing means movable from one side of the partitioning means to the other such as to be able to extract or replace slides in either the loading compartment or the store. As shown in Fig. 1, the slide changing means comprises a slide transporting member 6 linked via a parallel linkage 11, 12 to a projection stage 7 such that they move vertically together. The partitioning means is a gap formed by two rails 4 through which the slides 1 in the loading compartment 2 or store 9 may be moved by the transporting member 6. The vertical movement of the projection stage 7 is limited by a stop 13. A slide is fed from the loading compartment 2 or store 9 by lifting or depressing the transport member 6 respectively and then moving horizontally; the projected slide is then placed in either the loading compartment or the store by again lifting or depressing the transport member 6. On removal of the transport member 6, slides from the store 9 are moved into the loading compartment under the action of a spring 10. In an alternative embodiment, the transport member and projection stage are pivotally mounted to rotate together, and are spring urged together so that the lifting and depression described above is carried out by movement about the pivot.
