Abstract
1,126,151. Moulding wall panels. HIGH SPEED SYSTEM BUILDING Ltd., and L. NAAR. 17 Sept., 1965 [23 June, 1964], No. 26014/64. Heading B5A. A wall panel of bricks and mortar loosely supported in a horizontal grid in which it has been cast, is conveyed, together with the grid, to a rotary carrier having a member which abuts an edge of the panel; the carrier is then rotated to bring the panel and grid to a vertical position with the panel supported by the abutting member which is then moved horizontally away from the grid. The horizontal grid is carried on a frame 14 mounted on a bogie 15 engaging rails 19; after casting, any bonds between the panel and grid are broken, and the grid and panel are conveyed on the rails to a rotary member 21 having rail extensions to receive the bogie. The rotary member has curved ends 24 which roll on joists 26, and a number of platforms 41 extending between those ends and against which platforms one edge of the panel abuts. With the panel and grid in position on the rotary member, a pair of piston and cylinder motors 31 pivoted to brackets 32 are operated to rotate the member and bring the panel and grid to a vertical position with the panel supported by the platforms. The panel and platforms are then moved horizontally clear of the grid. Each platform is loosely carried on a rod 38 extending between opposed lugs 37 and, in the horizontal position, is supported by rollers 53; a lever mechanism moves the platform along its rod from one lug to the other.
