Abstract
1,125,909. Cam-operpted switches. COM MISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. 10 Dec., 1965 [10 Dec., 1964], No. 52661/65. Heading H1N. [Also in Division H2] In a remote control system, comprising two motors for moving a body in opposite directions, the motors drive high-speed and low-speed cams which operate parallel-connected contacts for stopping the load when it reaches a predetermined position. The motor assembly is geared to a shaft 39 secured to plates 40 carrying high-speed cams 6, 6 1 , 6 2 . The shaft 39 has a reduced section surrounded by hollow shaft 41 secured to plates 42 carrying low-speed cams 7, 7 1 , 7 2 . The shafts 39, 41 are intercoupled by gear 43 engaging with gear 44 on shaft 45 which also carries gear 46 engaging with gear 47. The cams are angularly fixed to the corresponding plates, the angle being adjustable by bolts 48. Each of the cams is set to actuate switches 14, 14 1 , 14 2 and 15, 15 1 , 15 2 which are mounted on sections 50 carried by columns 51 screwed on base 52 and braced by rigid plate 53. The shaft 41 is geared to needle 55 moving over calibrated dial 56 for indicating the angular position of the low-speed cams. A helical potentiometer 57 mounted on shaft 45 permits the cam-positions to be indicated by remote control. Casing 58 is fitted at its base with casing 59 for the wiring, and has a transparent port 61.
