Abstract

1,125,454. Holding sacks for filling. L. C. PEASNALL. 11 Nov., 1966 [23 Nov., 1965], No. 49801/65. Heading B8C. A sack is held on the bottom of a filling shoot by L-section clamping members 19 carried between pivoted arms 18. As shown the members 19 are urged by springs 21 into engagement with adjacent shoot walls 12, 14. The clamps may be released by a linkage 24, 25. The system may form the bottom end of a hopper, or, as illustrated, a fitting adapted to be bolted at 16 to the hopper. The clamping members 19 shown may be replaced by metal sheets.
