Abstract

1,124,705. Carrying handles. NORDISK PLASTER INDUSTRI, A.S. 8 Feb., 1967 [1 March, 1966], No. 5940/67. Heading A4G. A carrying handle for adhering to articles comprises a flexible strip 2 of paper, textile, plastics or metallic material having an adhesive coating 4 anchored to it and a flexible cover material 1 of the same width as the strip and covering the adhesive in the central longitudinal part of the strip to form the handle grip portion with the adhesive exposed ends available for attachment to an article. The cover material may be paper, textile, plastics or metallic material, foamed plastics being preferable. The handle may be transparent, decorated or carry advertisements. The handles may be individually separated or form a roll in a tape dispenser and the non-adhesive side may carry a release coating e.g. by siliconising it. The strip may be strengthened with threads or woven metal, glass, natural or synthetic fibres, and the adhesive exposed ends provided with covers.
