Abstract

112,462. Adams, W. L. Jan. 3, 1917, [Convention date]. Cylinders, construction of and cooling. - The cylinder barrel e fits at each end in internal flanges b, c on the casing d, which forms a water jacket. It is flanged at the outer end and the edges of the flanges are flattened where thev are in contact to prevent rotation of the barrel. The barrel is secured by screwed rings. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes rings in the form of glands to compress packing into recesses in the flanges e. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
