Abstract

1,123,852. Pipe coupling; joint-making packing. HEPWORTH IRON CO. Ltd. 13 Jan., 1967, No. 1826/67. Addition to 953,687. Headings F2B and F2G. The pipe coupling claimed in claim 1 of the parent Specification is provided with substantially rectangular recesses, each sealing ring 7 substantially filling its recess 1 except for a portion 8 corresponding to an annular groove in the sealing ring midway between the ends of the recess, each sealing ring also having an annular head 9 of larger volume than the groove projecting partially inwardly of the sleeve from midway between the ends of the recess.
