Abstract
1,120,929. Pruning scissors; pliers, cutters &c. HAND TOOLS Ltd. 13 July, 1967, No. 32254/67. Headings B4B and B4W. In a pair of tinman's or jeweller's snips in which each handle 2, Fig. 2, is formed with an integral blade 3 which extends from a shoulder 4 on the handle, the shoulder is formed as an arc struck about the axis of the pivot securing the handles together and the transition from the handle width to the blade width is formed as an arcuate face 6 also struck about the pivot between the handles. Similarly, in pruning scissors each handle 9, Fig. 4, has an arcuate shoulder 10 and each blade 11 has an arcuate face 12, the shoulder 10 and face 12 being concentric about the pivotal axis of the scissors.
