A fluid conveying or syphoning elbow comprises parts 10, 10a having opposed faces 8, 8a oblique to the axes of the parts and adapted to seal the fluid passage therethrough, the parts being hinged together about an axis in the planes of the faces 8, 8a so that the latter will be brought into sealed engagement in the operative condition of the elbow. To resist relative turning between the parts, the latter may have co-operating pins and recesses or a ledge 17 and groove.
