Abstract

1,119,659. Liquid heaters. R. P. MILLER, and B. G. MILLER. 17 Nov., 1966 [2 Dec., 1965], No. 51558/66. Heading H5H. [Also in Division F2] A water heating faucet has hot and cold water inlet valves 76, 36 controlled by pushbuttons 94, 54 and a switch 142 which is operated to energize an electric water heating element 58 when " hot " button 94 is pressed. Switch 142 is operated by a member 154 mounted on button 94 for vertical adjustment to control the temperature of the water. A second switch 116, connected to half of the heating elements only is operated by a similar arrangement on a " warm " push-button (Fig. 5, not shown). Valves 36, 76 are opened by cams 52, 92 and are closed by a vertically movable plate 180 under the control of an " off " button (Figs. 1 and 4, not shown), this arrangement being similar to that described in Specification 1,119,658.
