Abstract

1,116,763. Breathing apparatus incorporating a heat exchanger unit. AUERGESELLSCHAFT G.m.b.H. 11 May., 1966 [18 May, 1965], No. 20971/66. Heading A5T. Breathing apparatus for protecting a wearer against carbon monoxide is illustrated with reference to the Figure, and comprises a filter (not shown), a valve head 1 and a mouthpiece (not shown), and is characterised in that a heat exchanger unit consisting of a plurality of metal grids 4 is located between the mouthpiece (connected to 2) and the filter (located under 1), viz. in that part through which inhaled and exhaled air flows. The metal grids may consist of alternately steel and aluminium or copper wires. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1,051,054
