Abstract

111,360. Marks, E. C. R., (Mercury Manufacturing Co.). Dec. 6, 1916. Steering-gear; deflectable axle-ends and intermediate connexions therefor.-The arms 12 are connected by adjustable links C, D to a cross-head 19 on an arm 18 carried in bearings 16 and keyed to an operating-arm 17. The arm 17 is cranked forwardly and rides between the arms of a forked member 41 carried by the steering post 43. The cross-head 19 is provided with ball projections which ride in adjustable spring bearings in the links C, D. The links C, D are formed in two parts provided with interengaging screw-threads by means of which their lengths can be adjusted, locking-nuts 24 being provided.
