Abstract

1,113,206. Selective signalling. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. 13 Aug., 1965 [17 Aug., 1964], No. 34756/65. Heading G4H. A coded-scale shaft-position digitizing system of the type in which sensing elements feed a logic circuit so as to produce the desired coded signals (e.g. pure binary from either lead/lag sensing elements or a Graz coded scale) is modified in that a store is interposed between the sensing elements and the logic circuit and in that the output of the logic circuit is fed to a set of gates, the store and gates being strobed by staggered clock-pulses produced independently of the motion of the scale. In this way spurious output combinations which might arise each time the scale moves because of the time taken by the logic circuit to recode correctly signals received from the sensing elements, are prevented.
