Abstract

1,113,194. Selective signalling. ZELLWEGER Ltd. 1 March, 1966 [18 June, 1965], No. 8956/66. Heading G4H. A receiving mechanism for a signalling system of the type in which a start-pulse is followed by a differentially timed pulse, the pulses being superimposed upon the domestic power supply, comprises a solenoid 212, Figs. 2 and 3, which, in response to a start-pulse, unlatches a projection 215 on a lever 228 from a recess 251, thereby energizing a motor 221, via contacts 219, 220 which remain closed for one revolution of a control member 227, and a presettable device 225 on the control member 227 which positions a pair of projections 226, 259 so that the mechanism responds only to the presence or absence of a differentially timed pulse in one of 22 positions, the arrangement being such that as the control member 227 rotates, eventually projection 226 pushes the lever 228 back to its datum position with projection 215 in recess 251, thereby readying the mechanism so that the presence or absence of a pulse in the immediately following pulse period causes the projection 259, which is resilient, either to be pushed upwards by a cam 256 so as to pass over a plate 261, thereby, by means not shown, turning a switch on, or allows the projection 259 to pass unimpeded beneath the plate 261, thereby turning the switch off.
