[Also in Division E1] A flexible door for a cold store, refrigerators, refrigerating vans &c. comprises two flexible panels 1, 3 arranged to open in opposite directions, fixed as by screws 5A at their outer edges in the rabbets 2, 4 of the joints and disposed at their upper edges in a rabbet in the head rail, each panel being made of a central strip of nylon &c. covered on both sides by P.V.C. so as to be resistant to changes of temperature and to moisture and so that it will not pucker or crease, and resilient retracting means in the form of stiff heavy duty elastic material straps 6, 6A also resistant to changes in temperature and moisture secured at one end by the screws 5A to the jambs and at the other end by a D-ring 7 to the opposite panel 1, 3 and a quick-releasing hook 8, automatically gives a slight lift to the panel and returns the panels to the closed position in which their free edge portions overlap. Similar resilient arms 13, 13A in a horizontal disposition exert an additional transverse pull to the panels.
