Abstract
A corrosion resistant non-magnetic material contains in percentage by weight <TABS:1110045/C6-C7/1> and is heat-treated by annealing at a temperature between 600 DEG C. and its melting point. This treatment may be followed by heating to above 400 DEG C. and quenching at more than 1 DEG C./sec., while cold working to effect more than 20% reduction may follow either of the above treatments. Optionally a final ageing treatment may be given consisting of heating at 200 DEG -550 DEG C. for not less than 1 minute.
